Japanese Language Proficiency Test 2022/JLPT 2022

The Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) is a Japanese language proficiency test that is held simultaneously around the world. The first time the JLPT was held in 1984 with a total of 7,000 participants. In 2019 the JLPT was attended by more than 1,268,511 participants in 87 countries around the world.

Currently, the JLPT is the largest Japanese language competency certification exam in the world. Until 2010 this exam was held in December every year. At that time the JLPT exam was divided based on four levels of difficulty from the highest, namely Level 1, Level 2, Level 3, and Level 4 which was the lowest level. Since 2010 the system has been changed to five levels starting from N1, N2, N3, N4, and N5.

The Japanese language proficiency test/JLPT is held twice a year, namely in July and December (the first Sunday, the first week). JLPT in Malang City, before the Covid-19 pandemic was held on the Brawijaya University campus, Faculty of Cultural Sciences. The JLPT was canceled in periods 1 and 2 in 2020 and periods 1 and 2 in 2021 due to the increasing number of cases of the COVID-19 pandemic in Java-Bali.

In 2022, JLPT period 1 (July) will be held again at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences Universitas Brawijaya and STIE Malang Kucecwara Campus on Sunday, July 3, 2022. Online registration for JLPT Period 1 (July) 1 has been held on March 18-19 2022, and has registered approximately 900 participants. (ef20322-20)
