Inbound Hiroshima Students at Study Programme of Japanese Language (SPJL) FCS UB
Malang, March 4th 2024 – Students from Hiroshima university participated in Field Practice at SPJL, FCS UB. It aims to provide practical experiences in teaching courses related to Japanese language and literature. Thus, they will gain better understanding in the language learning process as well as gaining practical skills in teaching material effectively. Another purpose is to strengthen the relationship and broaden the exchange program between higher education institutions.
The students of Hiroshima University will do this Field Practice for 3 weeks. In the first week, they observed the class on how the lecturers teach the Japanese language. After that, they will become the guest lecturer in Kaiwa (conversation) course and Moji (vocabulary and phrase) for students in Semester 2 and 4.

One of students from Hiroshima, stated her impression on teaching at SPJL. “All the students are very friendly and love to smile, it was very pleasant to teach them.”
It is hoped that through this program, UB students will be more motivated to study about Japanese language and culture, meanwhile the students from Hiroshima got invaluable experiences by sharing their knowledge and culture with foreign students.
