Study Programme of Japanese Literature Faculty of Cultural Studies Runs Metaverse with Tohoku University Start from 2022
Malang, 26 February 2024― Associate Professor, Masako Yasashi, alongside Agus Budi Cahyono, MLT, the lecturer of Study Programme of Japanese Literature FCS UB held a metaverse class projected through a virtual reality. This event was a form of commitment of the Study Programme of Japanese Literature in responding to the MoU between Universitas Brawijaya with Tohoku University through a U to U collaboration (Universtity to University) signed on 18 December 2019 in Tohoku University Environmental Studies Seminar 2019.
This metaverse activity held by the Studi Programme of Japanese Language and Culture with Tohoku University has been conducted since 2022. This collaboration included the courses of Language and Technology, Language and Culture, and Culture and Technology. Every year, four students are chosen to fill the quota for this activity receiving a pin batch as a reward. In batch 2023, Muhammad Rafli, Tiara Felia, Nur Wahyu and Ahmad Yudha Perdana participated in this concrete program.

Study Programme of Japanese Literature Runs Metaverse with Tohoku University The collaboration between the Study Programme of Japanese Literature and Tohoku University in metaverse can transform the methods in education delivery. With an adjustable interactive virtual class, students can get a more immersive learning experience. Not only does it provide more access to knowledge and resources, but it will also enable students to interact with people from various cultures and backgrounds, creating an inclusive and multicultural learning experience.
